I would like to share with you how very pleased my wife and I are with our new roof. As you may remember, we had a leak in our ceiling caused by my 25 year shingles wearing out in 12 years on the south side of our home. I got a couple of quotes to have it reshingled and then I got a quote from Steve Craig. As we intend to be in our home for the next 12-15 years, it became apparent we would likely have to replace shingles once again, whether we decided to stay or sell. (By then we would be in our mid to late 70's). The cost of the steel was a little more than double, however, we would never have to worry about replacing the roof, we would have the comfort of knowing our home could withstand any kind of weather, and we likely would have residual value when we do decide to sell. In the long run, steel just made more sense in our situation.
Steve was very helpful in suggesting colour and style. He gave us addresses of homes with similar roof lines, so we could make an informed decision--after all, this roof was going to be there a long, long time. We didn't experience any pressure to buy, the product sold itself. In short, our purchasing procedure was rather pleasant.
The crew that worked on our home was headed by a young man by the name of Dietrich. He worked with his two brothers. The lads were always polite, prompt, and didn't even seem to mind my unofficial, unknowledgeable supervision. They cleaned up the area each evening when they day was done. Mr. Craig stopped by and kept a watchful eye on the roof's progress. We were very impressed with the quality of the underlay material, the thickness of the strapping, the size of the sheets of steel, and the workmanship of the crew.
Everything from the purchasing, to the signing of the contract, the actual installation, went extremely well. The finished product is much more attractive then we had imagined. Needless to say, we would highly recommend London Eco-Roof.
